A Lyman Family Christmas Historic Talk & Book Signing at The Lyman Homestead

December 10, 2022

Diana Ross McCain will recount how research for her novel Thy Children’s Children revealed that 200 years ago the Lyman family pioneered celebration of Christmas as a magical holiday in Puritan Connecticut, on Saturday, December 10, at 1pm.

Following the talk in the 1864 Lyman Homestead, copies of Thy Children’s Children, a historical novel based on the true story of the first five generations of the Lyman family, will be available for purchase and signing. Refreshments will include apple cider donuts and cold apple cider.

The 24-room Lyman Homestead is on the National Register of Historic Places and on Connecticut’s Freedom Trail. It was home to Lyman family members from 1864 to 1999, and today is available to rent for private events.

Advance reservations are required. Tickets are $5 per person.

NO REFUNDS.
