Not just a walk in the woods! Local Animal Trackers Tom Cleveland and Wally Hammer will lead a free Animal Tracking class at Lyman Orchards on February 18th, 10am-12pm. Learn to recognize animal and bird footprints and other signs of their passage through the woods.
We'll keep our paws crossed for snow, but it will be fun even without it! This educational program is fun for both kids and adults!
Limited to first 15 signups. Advance registration is required.
Event Time: 10am-12pm
10am - Meet at 105 South Street at the top of the hill (park on the road if there is snow,) for an outdoor adventure.
11am – Head back to the Apple Barrel Farm Market to warm up and view an array of animal artifacts.
Expect moderate terrain, some sloping trails and inclines, and rocky underfooting. Parents should be prepared to carry younger children if they get tired. Please wear appropriate dress and comfortable supportive walking shoes. Bring water. Walking sticks welcome, but no dogs please.
