This isn't your typical springtime activity. It's an apple-filled adventure where kids ages 1-10 dash across scattered hay bales on the Apple Barrel grounds with bucket in hand, gathering as many fresh, eco-certified apples as they can grab! It's one of the most unique, affordable, family-friendly events in Connecticut designed for memory-making on the farm!

Children's Entrepreneur Market - 9 AM - 1 PM

While you're here for the Apple Hunt, be sure to explore the Children's Entrepreneur Market. It's an award-winning youth vendor market where kids ages 5-17 run their own businesses!

Shop handmade goods, creative products, games, and services while supporting young entrepreneurs as they gain real-world experience in leadership, innovation, and responsibility.

Schedule: 

9:00 AM - 11:00 PM: Breakfast available for purchase at the Apple Barrel (pancakes, donuts, breakfast sandwiches, coffee, hot chocolate & more!)

Time TBD: Durham/Middlefield Girl Scouts will be onsite selling girl scout cookies

9:00 AM - 1:00 PM: Children's Entrepreneur Market - a Market run by kids!

10:00 AM: Ages 1-3 Apple Hunt

10:30 AM: Free Magic Show with Bill Hoagland on the Patio

10:35 AM: Ages 4-6 Apple Hunt

11:30 AM: Free Magic Show with Bill Hoagland on the Patio

11:10 AM: Ages 7-10 Apple Hunt

Check in will begin 60 minutes before your ticket time. Please plan to arrive at least 20 minutes early for check-in so you don't miss your designated start time. Once the hunt begins, the apples won't wait! Advanced registration is required.

*Please note that we do not have an 11:45 AM start time this year. 

Important Details:

• All children must be pre-registered online in advance. Once we reach capacity in a specific age group, tickets will no longer be available.
• One adult may enter the Apple Hunting area with children in the 1-3 and 4-6 age groups. Adults will be asked to remain behind the starting line as the hunt begins and may join their child a few minutes later.
• For the 7-10 age group, the hunt is designed as an independent experience for children. Adults are not permitted to enter the Apple Hunting area unless their child requires additional support or accommodations. If you child needs assistance, please contact us in advance so we can ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone.
• All sales are final; no refunds.

Check-In Details: 

- Arrive up to 60 minutes before your hunt time to check-in.

- Bring your email confirmation/receipt (printed or on your phone).

- Check-in will be organized alphabetically by last name used at purchase.

What if it Rains? 

If the Apple Hunt is postponed due to inclement weather on April 11th, your Apple Hunt tickets are valid for the rain-date of Sunday, April 12th.

We will notify everyone by email and Facebook if we need to reschedule.
