What is a Repair Cafe?
Repair Cafes are events where you can find specialists and experts to help you fix your broken items. You can get small repairs for free and learn simple skills for doing your own repairs. You can also learn tips on how to best maintain your items to give them a longer life!
Jon’s Repairs offers resources and expertise to community members who want to extend the life of their clothes. On the spot repairs will be available depending on complexity. And as always, teaching about garment care and repair will be the main goal, so come ready to learn!
Make your own upcycled produce bag! Bring some old (washed) canvas or sturdy fabric items, and learn to make a produce bag, carrot tote, apple satchel, or baby bag!
Sewing machines, thread, and straps will be provided, along with a limited supply of upcycled fabrics if you do not have your own.
What is a Swap Party?
This Swap Party will have a selection of clothes from the Reboot Eco Swap Studio in Middletown. Bring at least one item to swap (not required), and leave with as many items as you'd like! This is a great opportunity for spring cleaning in your closet - bring any items in great condition that you aren't wearing any longer and swap them for "new to you" items.
