Earth FriendlyWe grow Eco Apples and Eco Peaches by combining old fashioned agricultural methods with leading edge technologies, and our progressive growing techniques help make us leaders in ecological orchard care. We minimize the use of sprays and other environmentally disruptive practices by encouraging and relying on natural occurring controls such as ladybugs and other predators.
Our farm and growing practices are inspected and certified by the Integrated Pest Management IPM of North America. The rigorous IPM protocols create a truly integrated partnership between farmer, trees, weather, bees, and natural predators, honoring the unique ecology of each orchard.
The micro climate and rich soil of the Connecticut River Valley are perfect for growing apples of exceptional quality and flavor. Our growing practices may be more labor intensive and expensive than standard practices, but we know it's worth the effort. One taste, and we think you'll agree!
Buy Local! Buying locally grown food means buying the freshest fruit available, closing the distance in food miles from the farm to your table.
Connecting consumers to products that are ecologically grown by family farms is an awesome task. Fortunately, we work closely with an organization called Red Tomato, whose mission is to connect farmers and consumers through effective marketing, packaging, education, and a passionate belief that an ecologically responsible family-farm, locally based, is the best way to a 'better tomato', or in our case, 'a delicious, nutritious Eco Apple!' Through Red Tomato, we partner with other family-owned farms in sustaining earth-friendly agriculture in the Northeast.
