Lyman Orchards Press Release

Come Dance with Us at Lyman Orchards' Corn Maze!

Middlefield, Conn. -- August 29, 2018 -- Save the last dance for Lyman Orchards’ Corn Maze, opening Saturday, Sept. 1.

For those who love to dance and who love corn mazes, Saturday, Sept. 1 is your lucky day: it’s when Lyman Orchards’ Corn Maze officially opens to dancers (and walkers and strollers and anyone else) of all ages.

Participants can soft-shoe, tap, stroll or tango their way through this year’s challenging, four-acre corn maze, with more than two-and-a-half miles of pathways -- and only one way out.

The theme of this year’s maze is Dancing With The Stars, paying tribute to the popular TV show. Shaped and designed like the iconic Mirror Ball Trophy, this corn maze twists and turns -- and rock and rolls.

As it has for the past 18 years, in 2018 Lyman Orchards will continue its pledge to donate $1 from each corn maze admission to the American Cancer Society. Since 2000, the Corn Maze has raised over $655,000 for the ACS.

The Corn Maze is open Wed-Fri from 3-6pm and Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission to the maze is $10 for adults, $5 for ages 4-12 and free for children 3 and under. The maze will be open from Sept.1 through Sunday, Nov. 4.

The Corn Maze is made possible by Connecticut Home Solutions.

Throughout the Maze season, you can Pick Your Own fresh fruits at Lyman Orchards. Choose from a seasonal variety of apples, peaches, pears, Asian pears, squash and pumpkins. Pick Your Own is open daily 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
