Starting Tuesday, October 10th, a portion of Route 147 will be closed for road repairs. Traffic will be detoured. Road closure is expected to be closed until December 18, 2023.

From Hartford and the north, take I-91S to exit 15, go east on Route 68, then north on Route 157.

From New Haven and the south, take I-91N to exit 15, go east on Route 68, then north on Route 157.

From Waterbury and the west, take I-84E to Route 691/Route 66E, go right onto Route 147, then right onto Powder Hill Road.

From East Hampton and the east, take Route 66W, then south on Route 157.

From Old Saybrook and the southeast, take Route 9N to exit 21, go east on Route 155, then south on Route 17, then north on Route 147.
