Summer's sweetest tradition is back! Lyman Orchards is thrilled to officially kick off Pick-Your-Own Strawberry Season, inviting families, friends, and fruit-lovers to experience the joy of harvesting juicy, sun-ripened berries straight from the field. But that's not all - alongside our beloved strawberries, we're also offering a unique treat: fresh, ripe honeyberries, now ready for picking!
Strawberry season at Lyman Orchards typically runs from late May through late June, and this year's crop is looking better than ever. Bursting with flavor and vibrant color, these strawberries are perfect for snacking, baking, jamming - or just eating by the handful right out of the container.
What are honeyberries? Also known as Haskap berries, these oblong, dark blue fruits are one of the earliest berries to ripen in the season. Their flavor is often described as a cross between a blueberry and a raspberry, with a hint of tartness that makes them perfect for smoothies, jams, desserts, and even savory dishes.
Visitors can find both strawberry and honeyberry fields conveniently located near the Apple Barrel Farm Market, where they can check in before heading to the fields. The Market is also stocked with fresh-baked pies, apple cider donuts, and locally sourced goods to round out a perfect day at the orchard.
Pick-Your-Own Information:
