Lyman Orchards Press Release

Lyman Orchards Named Among Top 10 Apple Picking Spots in the U.S.

Middlefield, CT — —Lyman Orchards, a family-owned popular destination for over 275 years, has been named among the Top 10 Apple Picking Spots in the U.S., according to Yelp.  Each year, Yelp publishes an all-time list of the Top 25 apple picking orchards across the country.  Apple picking is one of the many Pick-Your-Own fruits that Lyman Orchards offers from spring through fall.

Lyman Orchards has one of the largest apple orchards in Connecticut, with 30,000 trees among its 100 acres.  The farm grows 27 varieties of apples including New England favorites such as McIntosh, Macoun, Cortland, and Honeycrisp varieties.  Apple season runs for 12 weeks from late August through mid November, overlapping with peach and pear season.  In addition to PYO fruits, Lyman Orchards offers activities for all ages, including a corn maze, haunted attraction, and three public golf courses.

"We're honored for the recognition," states Lyman Orchards Executive Vice President John Lyman. "It's a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, who strive to make our guests' experiences fun and memorable. We have a great Apple and Pumpkin crop this year, and an awesome Corn Maze, and invite all to come and enjoy."
