Celebrate 100 years of friendship, imagination, and adventure at the 2026 Lyman Orchards Sunflower Maze! This year's maze honors A.A. Milne's beloved Winnie-the-Pooh, first published in 1926 and cherished by generations ever since.
Guests can wander through over 350,000 blooming sunflowers carved into a special centennial design featuring Winnie-the-Pooh holding "100" balloons, surrounded by buzzing bees and storybook charm. Whether you fondly remember reading the classic tales yourself or are sharing them with a new generation, this year's maze offers a delightful journey through one of literature's most treasured children's stories.
Celebrating its 20th year, the Lyman Orchards Sunflower Maze combines outdoor adventure, family fun, and unforgettable memories. Stroll through nearly a mile of winding pathways, discover themed trivia stations, and immerse yourself in a world where friendship, curiosity, and simple pleasures have been celebrated for a century.
Like Pooh following a pot of honey, visitors will make their way through Connecticut's original Sunflower Maze while surrounded by a sea of yellow, orange, and red blooms. Along the way, guests can test their knowledge with Winnie-the-Pooh-themed trivia questions and enjoy spectacular views from our 10-foot observation platform.
$1 of every admission goes to support Connecticut Children's Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders. The Lyman Orchards family wants children battling cancer to reach for the stars and never lose hope. The Lyman Orchards Sunflower Maze, Connecticut’s original Sunflower Maze officially opens Saturday, August 1st at 9 am and runs until Sunday, August 30th.
Each visitor receives an official Sunflower Maze Map to help guide you through the twists and turns along the pathways. You'll also be given a Maze Passport featuring ten trivia questions related to the maze theme, or choose from a selection of passports featuring categories ranging from "movies" to "sports" trivia. Answering each questions correctly will help you choose the right direction at each of ten main crossroad stations within the maze.
Purchase your ticket onsite, pick up your maze map and passport, then make your way through nearly one mile of winding pathways surrounded by 350,000 sunflowers! Climb atop our 10 ft. viewing platform for the ultimate view and group photos. The setting is serene and the scenery is spectacular for this one-of-a-kind experience!
