A bright, refreshing salad that lets iceberg shine while pairing it with orchard-inspired flavors and a little crunch.

Ingredients:

• 1 head of iceberg lettuce, chopped (cold + crisp is key!)
• 1 crisp apple (try Pink Lady or Gala), thinly sliced
• 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
• 1/4 cup shredded carrots
• 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion
• 1/3 cup candied pecans (or plain toasted pecans)
• 1/4 cup crumbled goat cheese or feta
• Optional: grilled chicken for a heartier option

Apple Cider Honey Vinaigrette:

• 1/4 cup apple cider
• 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
• 1 tbsp honey
• 1 tsp Dijon mustard
• 1/3 cup olive oil
• Salt + Pepper to taste

Instructions:

• Start with a big bowl of chilled iceberg lettuce
• Layer in apples, strawberries, carrots, and red onion
• Sprinkle pecans and cheese over the top
• Drizzle with vinaigrette just before serving and toss lightly
